NOMINATIONS!

Hey Friends,

So last week I found out that FOUR of my songs had been nominated for the GMA Canada Covenant Awards! To say that I have been completely overwhelmed by this news is an understatement. Win or not, to be among such amazing Canadian artists nominated this year and years passed is  mind-blowing and such an amazing gift, and accomplishment. I'm so honoured and thankful to GMA Canada for the nominations. I'm thankful to God because he seriously is so good and faithful. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues to do so. Thank you to Jared Salte at Salt Shaker Studios who produced my Album 'Here I Am' and to Justin McDonough at Resonate Studios who produced my Christmas Song 'This Christmas'.

Fall Favorites

Fall is hands down my favourite season. My son was born in October, I love to be warm and cozy in a sweater, and I am obsessed with boots! Who doesn't love boot season?! Anyway, we just moved to BC from Alberta and I can't believe I have been missing these beautiful fall colours every year. It's absolutely beautiful here. 

I got these booties from Justfab a little while ago and I can't get over how cute the are. Loving the Burgundy this fall!

Some Pretty Good News!

“God always acts on behalf of those who wait on Him”

Being a new artist has been quite an experience. Through this journey (recording, releasing my album, releasing my single) I knew I had to trust the process. There were SO many days I just wanted to quit and move on to something else. But deep inside, I knew I needed to complete it and finish well. So to the best of my ability, through many dangers, toils and snares (kinda-sorta) that's what I did.

I'm the melancholy type of artist (lots of emotion haha!) It was so exciting to complete my album something I have been  wanting and dreaming about doing for a really long time (So much emotion!) After the album was released and the single released to radio, it kind of felt like...Ok...um..now what? (more emotion) Then our family took on some MAJOR change, we made the decision to sell our house and move to BC. (Emotion overload) So let's just say this month, is definitely one where I need, a little pick me up. You know?!

I can't express how blown away and completely shocked I was to hear that this month, my song Here I am made it to top 10 on Christian Radio in Canada! Whhhat?!  I mean, I knew it was playing on radio (somewhere) I just had never heard it myself or anything. So this is some pretty good news!

I also found out that Here I am made it on JoyFM top 20 Canadian song countdown on July 1st (Canada Day) among so many amazing artists. Mind. Blown.

I'm so blessed and honoured and could have never done this in my own strength. I am fully aware of that.

The lesson here: always wait on the Lord and trust the process. He's got me, He's got you! He is working on our behalf. Trust the process!
