I can’t get enough of Fall. It’s hands down my favourite season. I’m that stereotypical Cardi rocking, boot wearing, cozy up under a blanket drinking a hot bevy girl. I love the colours, the weather especially the rain (yes, I’m a little melancholy) Fall is everything!!! What about you? Do you love pumpkin spice everything or not so much?

I wanted to share some of my fall favourites today. Of course Fall is almost on its way out and the holidays are right around the corner. But who can get enough of Fall fashion and styles ammirite?!!!

The Tadesse Leather Bucket bag Is GORGEOUS <3 It’s from one of my favourite brands that is committed to ethical fashion and providing women who live in poverty with work opportunity. Their mission is to end generational poverty one job at a time. These bucket bags are made in Ethiopia and Mexico and are made from genuine leather. So trendy and stylish and these colours scream FALL right?!

Footloose Booties These cute booties are so fun! The simple details like the side zip and “V- Cut outat the top, make these ankle booties easy to wear. Throw them on with some jeans for a perfect day or night out. I also absolutely LOVE this shade of pink that they come in!

 

Touch Of Fall Pullover I just ordered this pullover a week ago and and I’m ready to instantly fall in love with the amazing cozy feel. It’s one of those sweaters you can rock with your fav denim or jeggings and tall brown boots, for a great Fall look.

 
 

Spread The Love Stainless Steel Water Bottle I’m obsessed with any products that inspire us to ‘Spread Love’ This water bottle is super sleek and fashionable with the best reminder out there! Love others the way Jesus loves us and to "unselfishly seek the best for one another." 

Be Free Cardigan I love this cardigan so much that I have 3 of them! Haha! It’s just so wonderfully, soft and beyond comfortable. I throw it on when I’m heading out for school drop off’s or just hanging out at home. It’s lightweight, just thick enough to keep you warm without overheating. If you are one of those who like to be comfortably warm like me, this is the cardi for you!

All Things Possible Mug Drinking Coffee on a crispy cold Fall morning just feels right. It’s even better with a cute mug that has a great reminder or saying on it. Mark 10:27 is one of my favourite verses which makes this mug something,I love.

20 Random Acts Of Kindness

Today is the first day of November and I’ve committed with some girlfriends to kick off this month with a two week long, Random Acts Of Kindness Challenge.

A Random Act Of Kindness is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a good deed done to another. It doesn’t have to be a huge gesture or be time consuming. It’s as simple as a compliment to a stranger when you are walking down the street.

If you have ever had someone do something kind to you completely out of the blue, you know that It feels good to be the recipient of a kind deed. I believe it is so crucial with the state of our world to be people who are intentional about spreading hope & joy, by putting our love in to action. 

Random Acts of Kindness are easy, but as humans we often have the ability to overthink things. I am 100% guilty of overthinking. So, if you want to participate, but maybe don’t know where to start, here are some ideas to get you brainstorming and get you going:

Hey Friends, Its been awhile. So much has changed, so much has happened. I’m happy to be back, to share a bit of my life with you again.

Recently, I’ve been thinking about time and just how fast it goes. Last year this time our baby girl Ariah (yes, we had another one lol) had taken over our lives. It was nothing but feedings and little to no sleep. It was in that time that God dropped the most amazing opportunity in my life.

I love when He does that. When we pray and He answers. Never in the way you thought he would, but always so very creatively and beautifully.

Years ago I had big ideas and dreams to start my own online clothing business for women as a means to encourage, inspire and empower, to spread hope and love. BUT so much was going on in our life at the time and things didn’t line up. I was busy with my son and all his therapy and programming, desperately trying to get him a diagnosis (that’s a whole other blog post). And there was also a lot of other not-so-easy things to walk-through, that happened. So, I just gave it to God. He knew my heart, my dreams and desires. And I knew He had a plan in it all.

Then a year, almost two later, we decided to sell our home and move to another city. The dream remained a dream and was somewhat forgotten.

I got caught up in life here. In settling down, getting our son situated in the right programs and school. Then we got pregnant with our beautiful daughter and had an extremely hard pregnancy and difficult birth (whole OTHER blog)

SO fast forward to October 2017. My daughter was almost 3 months old. My life had once again changed and this time, I felt completely lost and uneasy. I felt like I was losing myself and began praying for answers. And well… he answered. A friend of mine posted something on Facebook that just caught a hold of my attention in a way I can’t quite explain... It was this thing that fit everything i wanted/needed and I couldn’t resist. I needed to jump in.

I always tell people God just threw it in my lap and I picked it up and ran with it. Now here I am 1 year later, I just celebrated my 1st year as a Stylist for Silver Icing, one of the most amazing companies EVER! Through this business I have been blessed with so much and a community of women I didn’t know I needed. Sure it looks very different then what I had dreamed and that is ok because I ABSOLUTELY love it and now can’t imagine it any other way.

This year hasn’t been perfect or easy. I have stumbled through it, made mistakes, tried things and failed and as a result, grown immensely. But the the one thing I can truthfully say is, I NEVER GAVE UP. And there were many times I wanted to.

I love that I can look back and see how I’ve been changed by a year of discovering entrepreneurial dreams in my heart that I never know existed. Diving fully into the roll of MOMpreneur, realizing I have so many other gifts that play a role in my calling and purpose. Feeling more confident and brave to step into what God has for me knowing this is just the beginning.

So I don’t know where you are today, maybe you feel lost like I did. Maybe you have a dream and you just don’t know how it’s going to work out or, you are needing the confidence to just take the first step into what you feel called to. Whatever it is, wherever you are, just start somewhere and DON’T GIVE UP! It’s going to be scary and you are going to make mistakes and fumble through it, but who knows what other amazing things will be awakened in you when you take that first step.

You are capable, you have what it takes, you are MORE then enough, it’s not too late to start!!!

Just start… AND DON’T GIVE UP!!!

Holiday Gift Guide!

Hey Friends, The countdown is on for Christmas, the season of giving! I've always loved looking at gift guides every year and so this year, I decided to do something fun and do my own. Black Friday is coming up this week, so here is a mini version of my Holiday Gift guide.

I first discovered Noonday when I went to IF GATHERING in Austin, Texas in February,2015. Love what 'Noonday Collection' stands for and what they do.   4. THE BROKEN WAY BY ANN VOSKAMP -   "God sees the broken as the best and He sees the best in the broken and He calls the wounded to be the world changers." A quote from this absolutely amazing book! I'm halfway through and loving every part of it. Get it for you and for everybody! 

  5. TOO FACED KISSMAS GIFT SET - Nothing like a little glam for the Holidays! Every year during the holidays SEPHORA always has a lot of these fun gift sets. If you are a big lippie fan than you know all about Too Faced Melted liquified long wear lipstick. They are great! I think they make the perfect stocking stuffer, *I've recently discovered that this is now sold out at Sephora :( as i have been preparing this blog post but you can still get it HERE*

  7. ANTHROPOLOGIE GOLDEN MONOGRAM MUG - Everything in Anthropologiejust gives me life! I love this store! I'm sure by now it is clear that I love gold anything haha! SO it's no surprise that I love these. I bought these for my son's teachers last year and this year they are still just the perfect affordable gift. They are Limited edition for the holidays, don't miss out!
